The Australian cricket team won the 3rd test against the Windies today in what's been described as a "spiteful game".
What planet are these cricket commentators on? Yes there were some testy moments, and deservedly so...this is a test match after all.
When the tests don't have any life the Commentators have a go at the players, and when there is some fire, they have a go at the players...it must be wonderful to sit in air conditioned comfort and bag cricketers (and umpires for that matter), regardless of what they do. Some commentators change positions far more often than they change their underpants.
I observed every incident in the last test and believe there has been a monumental overreaction by most of the media. One example, Brad Haddin didn't hit anyone, just pointed his bat at Big Benn and told him to leave his mate alone. Benn reacted to this and there was a bit of push and shove between him and Mitchell Johnson and then Haddin gets fined? Why?
I would agree that Shane Watson's celebrations were a little over the top. I don't think it was as bad as everyone is making out and a fine was the appropriate censure.
Can we please get a little perspective from the commentators rather than the blather they go on with at the moment.
